Why?

If God is perfect, and God is love, then why is love imperfect?

Yeah, actually. There are two ways to approach it, both of which have to do with mankind being inperfect.
1) God is love. Man not being God, we screwed it up.
2) (my personal belief) God is love. Man can show/exude love, but being that man is grossly imperfect (ie not God), we cannot show the perfect level of love that God does. I love my mother, and I love hamburgers. But I wont die for a hamburger, does that make ALL of my love imperfect? Of course not, because there are different levels of love. Gods of course, being the tops.

GREAT BIG DISCUSSION....itty bitty nutshell. Hope its at least helpful. Let me know what you think.

Yeah, I think I knew the answer before I asked the question, but you have no idea how reassuring it is to hear it from somebody else. It makes me feel SO much more sane. ^_^ Actually, I have an insane friend who has weird ideas about love, and 'cuz we constantly have these really deluded arguments, sometimes I get mixed up.

Thanks for the input (I--unlike my crazy friend--find your logical flawless), and the love.
