Revelation, Education

It was demonstrated to me this week in a very obvious and personal way that my previous blueprint for perfect harmonious human behavior simply doesn't work because it neglects the inherently selfish nature of human beings. When you feel truly threatened or at risk, you simply cannot resist the urges of your instinctual sense of self-preservation, unless driven to do so in exceptional circumstances by situation, beliefs, or social or cultural pressures.

I find this frustrating, odd, and inconvenient.

No one ever moves up. There is no evolution. We all just run around and around the same damn circle, like mice in a maze. Sometimes I feel like running backwards along the track, just for a change of pace.

what happened to make you feel like that? I think that if you realize you acted in a selfish way that also generates...unharmony, you can conciously prevent yourself from repeating it. Realization is what causes the growth.
