Ack, another 12 hour day....

Worked a steady 12 hours today. I feel like my eyeballs are gonna roll out of my face any minute now and get covered in dust to the point where I won't be able to clean them off enough to put them back in.

Just consumed a super chu-hi. I needed that. (Actually, I needed to get plastered, but I'll do that tomorrow night when Ashley and I hit Osaka.)

Ripped this from wolfgrrl:

which member of something positive are you?

quiz created by heatherbat

That is me to a 'T.' It always seems to be the one I can't/won't have. Y'know?

Figured out Miyadera-sensei's motive: he wants me to meet some grad student at KG. The guy's around my age (probably a little older, thankfully--I've been sick of dating younger guys since day one and that's all I've ever done). M says he's a genius; he was too smart for KGHS, so he dropped out and eventually made his way to Kinki U (Kinki's the name of the region where I live, although the name is way cooler in English, that's for sure), where he continued to be a genius and studied Japanese lit. under some amazing people I don't give a rat's ass about. Then M explained why he got this stupid idea in his head in the first place: the "genius" guy is a fan of Nakagami Kenji. Yeah, yeah, I wrote my 60-some-odd page senior thesis on the guy, BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN I LIKE HIS WORK. The thing I liked best that he did was "Akagami" ("Red Hair"). It was beautiful and twisted (and DIFFERENT from everything else). All his other stuff is the same, although The Cape was okay (but it was still the same plot he repeated in everything he wrote). Always the same sob story about oppression and discrimination blah-dee-blah. Don't talk to me about discrimination. I deal with it every day.

Anyway, I'm wiped. Time to go to bed.

Hi Abby, it's Jessi, Lara's friend from Canada... I found your journal through Liz's and I figured I'd pop in to say hi! :D

Hi, Jessi! How have you been? I haven't seen you in a couple years now, I think.

Hope you're doing well.
